Meet "Sawyer"
Sawyer was born August 16th, 2005. At just over one year old, he weighs 67lbs. He is a pure bred Redbone Coonhound (also known as a "red tick"). He is a beautiful dog with a great stature. He is also pretty much afraid of everything. The poor guy was pretty traumatized from his airplane trip out here, and I don't think he every fully recovered. The folks we got him from didn't say they ever noticed him like that, so we figure it was the plane. Sawyer has nicknames like "Soy Boy", "Soy Sauce", "Soy Milk", "Silly Soy", and "Mr. Bean"
Sawyer was diagnosed with an aggressive "high grade" form of Lymphoma and we lost him on August 24th, 2009, only three weeks after his diagnosis, and just a week after his fourth birthday. With all of his faults, Sawyer was still a great dog that was full of love. We will miss him very much. It was with sad hearts that we let him go. We will always remember you Mr. Bean.
